Invest in the future, not gas

Labor has committed $1.9 billion to a huge industrial gas  precinct in the NT called Middle Arm, a project designed to make it  easier for big gas corporations to process and export gas, and to  quickly lead to opening up the Beetaloo Basin for fracking.

Instead of using the federal budget as an opportunity to prove their  commitment to the climate, Labor has chosen to hide their fossil fuel  spending by moving the Middle Arm funding off budget. 

While we are  facing a rising cost of living, massive increases to the cost of study,  and unstable housing, our government is making the choice to spend on  fossil fuels - and then has the nerve to try and hide it.
