The Tasmanian Climate Collective was formed in 2022, bringing together existing climate, environmental and community organisations from across lutruwita/Tasmania. It emerged in the lead-up to the 2022 federal election, with a simple goal: to make sure climate change remained a significant issue and that Tasmanians had a stronger collective voice calling for climate action.

From the beginning, the Collective was about bringing people and organisations together rather than duplicating the work of existing groups. By sharing knowledge, resources and ideas, members could amplify their voices, support one another and advocate more effectively for action on climate change.

That role has continued to grow. The Collective now connects climate action, environmental, social and grassroots groups and individuals across Tasmania. We work together to influence decision-makers, contribute to public policy, share information and resources, and support climate action in communities across the state.

Our purpose remains the same: to encourage, promote and initiate climate action across lutruwita/Tasmania through cooperation, influence and knowledge sharing.
