Writing for Climate
Join the Writing for Climate workshop! We will be discussing how best to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboards) to help create change.
We will be covering two types of writing - letters to politicians and letters to the editor. Both of these forms of writing can be really effective in spreading the climate message to politicans. One email from a voter on an issue is equivalent to 50 to 200 people expressing concern on that topic.
Writing to politicians can seem like a daunting task, but it is such a powerful way to create change as an individual. We can give you the tips needed to help you write effective and powerful letters.
The workshop will be led by Dr Jennifer Sanger. Jen is co-founder of The Tree Projects, an environmental outreach organisation that promotes trees, forests and protecting nature. Jen specialises in science communication and is an advocate for getting people to engage with the political process through letter writing and communication.
