We have partnered with Environment Tasmania to call on all state election candidates to sign a pledge taking action on climate and cost-of-living issues, with candidate Peter George being the first to sign. To help voters prepare, we are encouraging attendance at the Vote Earth Rally on Sunday 13th July and highlighting candidate climate scorecards. We also invite everyone to our next online general meeting on Monday 28th July and encourage participation in upcoming consultation workshops for the independent review of Tasmania's climate legislation.

We have published climate scorecards assessing all Tasmanian candidates' policies to help voters keep climate at the forefront of the upcoming election. Ahead of our online general meeting on Monday 28th April, we are holding a pre-meeting session at 7:00 pm to coordinate the physical distribution of these scorecards. We are also sharing resources linking climate inaction to cost-of-living pressures, alongside local Repair Cafés and Sustainable House Day on Sunday 4th May.

Our new billboard campaign across Tasmania urges voters to keep the climate in mind ahead of the upcoming federal election. We are also celebrating the integration of our community's feedback into the state's final Emissions Reduction and Resilience Plans, which we will discuss at our next online general meeting on Monday 24th February.

Ethical Investment Advisor Chris Lang is presenting a practical guide on using personal finances to combat climate change at our next online meeting on Monday 25th November. We are also calling for community participation in regional consultation workshops for Tasmania's new Natural Hazards Atlas and highlighting the forest conservation work of our featured group, The Tree Projects. Additionally, we invite everyone to connect with us on our new Bluesky Social channel and join our end-of-year catch-up on Saturday 23rd November.

Steve Willing is presenting on climate adaptation at our special pre-meeting session on Monday 30th September, immediately preceding our monthly general meeting. We are also calling on our community to help inform the Huon Valley's climate strategy and submit feedback on the state's single-use plastics phase-out plans. Additionally, we are sharing upcoming local events like Tomorrow Movement's youth training, the inaugural Reel Change Film Festival, and national rallies to protect native forests.
