The Tasmanian Climate Collective’s submission to the Tasmanian Housing Strategy calls for sustainability, energy efficiency and climate resilience to be embedded in all new housing. It advocates for net-zero, all-electric homes with high energy efficiency, rooftop solar and battery storage, alongside measures to reduce energy poverty and housing costs. The submission also calls for an end to new gas infrastructure, stronger support for energy-efficient retrofits, climate-resilient design, low-emissions transport and incentives for landlords to improve rental properties.
